9bar - bar support is a company born from the idea to join the best of the worlds of American style bartending & the classic Italian barista tradition and develop these two niches into a unified business sector demanding a high level of professionalism. In the minds of most people, a “bartender” and a “barista” are two different jobs; and there are precious few that work in either field who carry enough of a sense of pride in their level of knowledge and ability to call themselves professionals.
What does this mean to the customer? It means that they lose the advantage of having a generally high standard of quality and service! Shouldn’t the coffee drinker or the cocktail enthusiast be able to expect the same level of guaranteed quality and availability of information as, for example, a wine aficionado? This is the driving passion which inspired Fabio Milani and Andrea Lattuada, two world class professionals in the respective fields of cocktails and coffee, to create 9bar. They envisioned a new kind of company capable of changing the general way of thinking about bartending. This logically developed into the 9bar “total bar support” concept.
9bar is made up of 4 main components: the Bartending & Coffee School, the Top-Class Catering service, Equipment Design & Sales and Bar Project Design & Consulting services. Though highly diversified, in everything we do our first thought is to help our clients reach their goals with professionalism and style. Thus, Andrea, Fabio and their team of passionate professionals have developed 9bar into an organization which makes that concept accessible to everyone interested in what we do – whether client, student or colleague. And we are the best at what we do; we like to think that’s the advantage of loving what you do for a living.
Andrea Lattuada and Fabio Milani are recognized on a global level by such associations as SCAE (The Specialty Coffee Association of Europe) and the FBA (Flair Bartenders Association). Both are former champions in their respective fields and seasoned veterans of their profession.
